This is a short conversation we had with the son of the great Chilean writer  Francisco Coloane  about the so called Postcolonial  thinkers.

What means that  post colonial thinking is overspread  ?

«It Means that there is a predominance of post colonial vision (scholardom from Africa, Asia, the Caribbean region, Homi Bhabha, Naipaul, E. Said, are good examples) to address the issue of continued North Atlantic Alliance attempted supremacy in all fields. Their capital strength penetrates and permeates all doings of life at global level.

This is depicted well in The Global Reach by Richard Barnett. Or, with Susan George, Walden Bello, the analysts of the Economic and Political Weekly from Bombay.

Anti Imperialism thinking from Indian and latin american scholars usually don’t get the support from North Atlantic finances for participating in «middle of the road» debates.

By this I mean, Europan Union and USA left leaning sources of funding, will choose elliptical approaches towards USA imperialism such as one finds in Bhikhu Parekh, Partha Chaterjee and all under the school of Homi Bhabha.

Through their writing, the post colonial school, very little is exposed regarding the major crisis of liberalism in political terms. The liberal dream of social justice, went to the doldrums with the installation in the 80s of the economic structural adjustment, so called neoliberalism in some quarters.

I don’t minimise the brightness and contributions of the named scholars above, the point I want to stress is that they don’t form part (in the academic field) of the scholars’ critical mass attempting to redress the north Atlantic Alliance supremacy.

Let’s face it.

A real South-South thinking thrust to contain Transatlantic Alliance supremacy in terms of anti socialism propaganda never materialized.

Why?

Because almost no one wants to speak clearly in favour of socialism in the middle of the major crisis of the Liberal philosophy.
