On May 20, the sixth presidential election in the contemporary history of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela took place. On this occasion Nicolás Maduro Moros was elected Constitutional President, in accordance with the Venezuelan Constitution. He will be invested for a new term on January 10th.

Statements by the US Government demanding a change of regime systematically violate the sovereignty and self-determination of the Venezuelan people.

The United States and a group of governments that obey the orders of the White House are preparing to refuse to recognize the legitimacy of the mandate conferred on President Nicolás Maduro Moros from January 10.

In opposition to these intentions, we appeal to the people of the United States and the international community not to intervene, to recognize and respect the sovereign will of the Venezuelan people who continue to chart their own way of peace, guided by its inalienable right to self-determination and independence.
